Toka Asal is an Egyptian illustrator whose work draws directly from Egyptian folk art, tattoo traditions, and the visual symbols of the Nile. Her ongoing collection Egyptian Tattoos gathers figures, animals, florals, and geometric borders into compositions that feel ancient and contemporary at once. With Made to Muse, the work moves onto silk shawls and notebooks, heritage that's worn, written in, and carried.
